Good Jeans
If you want a new pair of jeans, we rather like the look of these Tall & Long On The Waist Fine Stripe Bootleg Jeans from Marks and Spencer. On the waist jeans are the hot style for this summer and for anyone who is tired of their jeans gaping at the back every time they lean forward.......Like it says, the denim has a very fine stripe running downwards, but it's subtle so these are not 'stripy trousers'. Berry Nice
Cool for summer, we love linen trousers, and this pair of Linen Mix Trousers from Long Tall Sally are great as these trousers are available in a 36" inside leg. They are just a good basic trouser, no decoration, two front pockets and a low rise waist. The fabric is 55% linen, 45% cotton to help reduce creasing and there are three colours to choose from - Berry (shown here), Truffle (a sort of putty-ish dark beige) and classic black. We totally fell in love with the colour of this Tall & Long Mock Shrug Top from Marks & Spencer. It is in a fab indigo shade and it's also available in ivory. It may only be January but the fashion magazines are already looking ahead to spring and summer, and I can't resist peeking ahead at what to wear when the weather warms up (I know, if it warms up). We've been bargain hunting in the sales this week and turned up this Longline Puff Sleeve Top from M&CO. Funky jeans can be hard to track down in longer leg lengths, so we gave a whoop of joy when we saw these Wide Leg Jeans by Lou Doillon for LEE COOPER which are exclusive to La Redoute. Lou Doillon is, in case you don't know, the daughter of British actress Jane Birken, and is an actress, stylist and darling of British Vogue. The jeans have a grosgrain stripe down the outside of each leg. The inside leg measurement is 87cm which is just a touch over 34". There are two colour choices, grey with a black stripe, shown here, or blue with an orange stripe. They're available in sizes 26" to 31" waist which roughly translates as UK sizes 10 to 16.
